Come join us Thursday, January 16th 6:00-8:00 pm for The PHS Experience: A Showcase of classes, sports and activities. This evening will show you what PHS has to offer! The program starts at 6:00 in the auditorium where our award winning band and chorus students will share their talents. Then students will take a tour of the elective classes learning from our students about the opportunities in and out of the classroom while parents will learn about graduation requirements and how to help their students have a successful high school experience.
6:45-8:00 students and parents are invited to check out the following opportunities:

  - AP / Dual Enrollment
  - Athletic Eligibility
  - Clubs
  - Counseling Services
  - Financial Aid
  - Military & College Recruiters
  - Testing: SAT, ACT, PSAT, ASVAB Gym:

- JROTC Demos for Marksmanship and Raiders

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the many opportunities for students to get involved and to help them choose classes that will best prepare them for their future.

🌟College-Bound Seniors

Please watch your deadlines. Be sure you have already requested any recommendation letters for anything due by January 1st.
Remember, if it doesn't get submitted with at least 2 weeks notice before we leave for break, it will not get done until we get back in January.
Share with your counselor any acceptance letters and financial aid award packages. You can forward the emails or send screenshots to your counselor.

🌟Student Assessment Summary (SAS) Reports

VDOE and local school divisions now provide parents access to their child’s SOL test performance history reports. Families will receive the SAS report and the State Superintendent's letter from their student's school on Friday, January 10th with report cards. Each Student Assessment Summary provides information about a student's SOL test patterns and may help identify places where additional educational support may be needed or highlight accelerated learning opportunities. This information along with a student’s school level information and 2024 SOL test results provides context when engaging with a student’s teachers and school about his/her education.
