The Powhatan High School JROTC is stepping up to support the victims of Hurricane Helene, and they need your help! They’re collecting much-needed items to send to those affected by the storm. You can drop off donations at the school, and they will also have drop-off locations at the PHS varsity football game on Friday, October 25, starting at 6 p.m.
Here’s a list of items they’re collecting:
• Winter clothing (all sizes and genders)
• Blankets
• Extension cords
• Baby bottles and formula
• Laundry detergent pods
• Portable heaters
• Clothing items (socks, shoes, etc.)
• Pet food
• Diapers
• Hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, etc.)
• Batteries
• Non-perishable food items
