How to Get Involved

We welcome volunteers.  Parents or other adults (at least 18 years of age) may assist in a variety of activities on a time schedule that is convenient for them.  Volunteers are needed in classrooms, the library, at after-school events and in the front office.  Individuals interested in volunteering must complete an online application and submit to a background screen.  

All volunteers must complete the online application and submit the required forms listed below to the central office.

  • All completed forms must be returned to Karen Bradbury or Terry Stokes in Human Resources either by mail or in-person at the School Board office located at 4290 Anderson Highway, Powhatan, Virginia 23139.

  • INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR APPROVAL.

  • You will be contacted by the Human Resources Department to schedule an appointment to complete all paperwork and to be fingerprinted.
