Greetings, 

I hope you all have had a wonderful summer and that you will find the remaining weeks of the season equally as enjoyable as those you have experienced thus far.  

As we close in on the start of the 2022-23 school year, I want to send my warmest and most heartfelt "WELCOME" to each of you.  I am truly honored and blessed to have the opportunity to serve as your principal and am committed to working with you to continue our school and division's tradition of excellence.  

Since I began my transition into the PHS principalship in June and officially arrived at the beginning of July, you have embraced me and welcomed me into the Powhatan family.  As a member of your family, I need you to know that I want the absolute best for our students, staff, parents and guardians, and community.  Our faculty and staff share this vision and are committed to achieving it.  Together, as a family, we will make this goal a reality through effective school and community partnerships, a culture of high expectations, and promoting safe, respectful, responsible environments that empower students and provide conditions ripe for innovation. 

In closing, I am excited and looking forward to meeting more of you and seeing all of our students in the coming weeks.  I am also excited about what lies ahead and know this will be an AMAZING year!
