All students graduate college and career ready with a strong understanding of the positive impact they will make as a member of society in the 21st century. Every student has access to a comprehensive school counseling program that promotes self-growth through goal-setting and supportive relationships so that students can achieve their fullest potential.
Our Mission Statement: The mission of the Powhatan Middle School counseling department is that every student will benefit from a school counseling program that is student-centered and outcome-driven. The program provides academic and personal support as well as career development services that are necessary for students to become productive members of society in the 21st century. The counselors work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, and the community to maintain high academic standards, increase safety and security, and invite every student to stay in school and reach success.
