Athletics at PMS promote confidence, self-discipline, and a sense of pride in not only the students participating but also in the school and the community. This past year at Powhatan Middle School, PMS has been Southside Middle School Champions in Soccer, Girls Basketball, Baseball, Softball, & Girls Track. In addition to the aforementioned sports, PMS offers Girl’s Volleyball, ACE (quiz bowl), Forensics (drama & debate), Co-ed Golf, Cross Country, Cheerleading, & Boy’s Track.

All sports (not including ACE & Forensics) require a VHSL physical dated May 1st, 2024 of the current school year or later in order to try out.
