First Responder Day 343 Celebration is being held again this weekend in honor of first responders who died on Sept. 11, 2001. Come celebrate, thank, support, remember, and honor first responders. Friday, Sept. 8, 11:45 p.m. kickoff of 343 laps around the track at Powhatan High School, 1800 Judes Ferry Road, Powhatan. Saturday, Sept. 9, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.—All-day celebration with a silent auction, DJ, 50/50 raffle, new T-shirt design for sale, lap competition, and Chili P’s Food Truck and concessions available (first responders eat free).
