College Connection Academy
You can finish your senior year of high school AND earn 33 college course credits by taking dual enrollment courses at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. Imagine the savings you’ll gain in both time and money by attending classes at JSRCC Western Campus each morning of your senior year. Complete college courses, taught by college faculty on a college campus without sacrificing your options for participating in high school extracurricular and co-curricular activities. Study with other seniors who are college-bound and looking to make the most of their senior year in high school.
Program Details
Selected students from Powhatan High School and Goochland High School will meet daily at JSRCC Western Campus in Goochland, VA.
Classes will meet Monday—Friday mornings from 7:50—10:30 a.m. on the JSRCC fall and spring semester schedules.
Interested juniors may pick up a copy of the application packet during their course enrollment sessions with their counselors.
The school counseling department will review each student application, transcript, GPA, Placement Test scores, and English level to determine which 12 students will be selected to enroll in the College Connection Academy program. Preference will be given to students with a 3.5 core GPA and those students that have taken English 11 honors or AP English Language.
